Ettl-Huber, Silvia

Prof. (FH) Silvia Ettl-Huber is Vice Rector for Research and Innovation and heads the Department of Business Studies, the largest department at the University of Applied Sciences Burgenland. There she is also the head of the Master's programme in HR Management. Previously, she was head of the Center for Journalism and Communication Management at the Danube University Krems for more than ten years, with Master´s programmes in journalism, PR, communication and management. From 2015 to 2017 she was Managing Director of the Research Subsidiary of the FH Burgenland, Forschung Burgenland.
In teaching and research, the communication scientist originally specialised in media economics and published numerous titles on the media landscape and media power in the CEE countries. In 2010, she discovered the power of stories and has since devoted herself to storytelling in teaching and research. She is in charge of numerous master theses on storytelling and deals with storytelling in internal and external communication, in social media as well as in old media, in political and scientific communication.
