Füricht-Fiegl, Gerda

Gerda Füricht-Fiegl is a political scientist and programme director of the Master´s programme European Studies – Management of EU-projects at the University of applied sciences Burgenland. Before that, she was depty head of the Department Knowledge and Communication Management at the Danube University Krems and led the Master´s programme Political Communication. The focus of her lectures and research is on political communication, the political system EU, election campaigns and EU-Lobbying.
Alongside her scientific expertise she has many years of practical experience in management positions in the communications field in Austria and Brussels. She worked as an EU-official for the European Commission (DG COMM, press team of a former EU commissioner) and was press officer in the European Parliament.
